Royal Wedding vs. Not So Royal Wedding...

Oh to be royalty!

I'm guessing Kate's mum didn't have to juggle seating arrangements and worry about the price of flowers while planning this wedding. I'm guessing she had very little input...you know those Royals. (A tad bossy I believe.)

Our Not-So-Royal Wedding is moving along smoothly.
Being the MOB isn't easy, but there's quite a bit of joy leading up to the big day.

Running out to get the mail has been all the exercise I've been getting lately, but I do love opening those response cards! Unfortunately our mail carrier has been looking a little uncomfortable when he sees me pacing in the driveway.
I think he feels a little sorry for me (middle-aged lonely woman waits for her daily mail).
I don't care. I have tables to fill.
And those seating arrangements can be tricky.

Royal wedding or not, it seems there's never enough time to get it all done.
But after watching both my sons have beautiful weddings, I'm glad to step up and finally plan my daughter's day.

At least I don't have to wear a hat...

Yikes.

  1. I loved the wedding, and being American, whats up with the beyond weird hats? Some people looked smashing, (like the Queen) and some not so much. Like Fergies girls. Americans loved the wedding, after all most of us came from England if you go back far enough! I bet you wish you had their budget for yours... good luck!

  2. My daughter made a wedding cake for a wedding where the cake, we're sure was the biggest expense the couple had, 2 weeks after my son got married and the brides father shelled out $20,000++. But you know what whether you spend $1000 or $50,000,000 (like the royals) the couple is just as married, and the love just as real. I'm sure your daughters wedding will be beautiful!
