Commenting on Comments!!

Today's post (you may call it a rambling) is about commenting...or rather anonymous commenting here in Blog World.
I've taken numerous psychology courses, enough to know it's best to ignore those who scream for attention. But anyone who knows me will acknowledge that pesky, somewhat obsessive trait of mine...I can't leave anything alone.
I have the need for closure, and sometimes that means I must address the loonies that roam among us.

So I'm basically feeding the alligators here, I know it's not right, but bear with me.

A few days ago I removed the Comment option on my blog. I love comments. I do a little dance when I receive them, and I make a pouty face when I don't. There are times when I'm shocked at all the comments I receive on a post I felt was average, And then I'm equally shocked when a post that holds my heart lingers out there with no responses. But I'm still a new blogger, and I'm still learning. The reason I removed the Comment section had little to do with all your wonderful comments, and everything to do with a couple of anonymous comments from a loon.

(These aren't loons)

(This is a loon)

And the other loon I don't have a picture of.

So, my comments are once again visible, I appreciate all your lovely words, and that's all I've got to say about that!

On another note...
We had a lovely weekend in Appleton, Wisconsin. My nephew Christopher married his lovely Julie (JuJu).

(The Bridal Shower)

The wedding was awesome, and I had such a great time that I forgot to take any pictures. Actually, that's a big lie...My children threatened me with a month of silence if I dared to bring my camera.

I did take a little time to decide, but eventually felt Chris and JuJu would be in the capable hands of their professional photographer.

My next post will be from Florida...still lots of work to do there!

  1. glad your comment section is back! I know sometimes on my blog certain posts get some many comments and then other times zero and I can't yet figure out why? We are both still learning Mary!!

  4. I'm embarrassed to say how often I check for comments on my blog. I haven't had any loons commenting yet though - am I missing out?
