NieNie is asking for pictures of our children returning to school. I must confess, Molly now returns to school by jumping in her car and speeding away.
There aren't anymore pictures in school uniforms, or shiny, smiling, nervous faces.
I love MollDoll's first day of Kindergarten pose. {I love it even though the sun is blinding me and my hair is large}. Those were the days when the beginning of a school year was full of excitement, worry, and new backpacks.
If you read my blog you know I miss all that. Sort of.
Big Daddy snapped that second picture when I was having a difficult time letting Molly begin her second semester of college. You would think I would be more emotional the previous semester, but who knows? Perhaps it was my fear of facing a long Chicago winter without my little darling. Eventually Molly unwound my arms from her body andran walked back to her dorm.
It's not easy being a Mom.

ReplyDeleteOh, they grow so fast. Your daughter is pretty. My son will be starting his senior year of high school next week. Times goes by so fast.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are grown and graduated from college already. I miss the back to school times too.
ReplyDeleteOh my! I could just cry! I so relate to these beautiful pictures and the stories behind them. What a great post! It brings back so many memories.
