Oh Deer...

This little baby was hanging out in my yard all morning. 
I called A Wildlife Refuge that told me his mama was probably looking for food and would eventually return. They told me to leave him alone...I did, but it was very hard.
I hope he didn't mind the picture taking.

Unfortunately the hours passed without a trace of mama. He laid there for hours in the rain. I'm having some work done in the yard and all the activity seemed to make him a little nervous and shaky.

He finally ran off, and now I'm sitting here hoping he's fine, reunited with his mama, and munching on a neighbor's evergreens. There's a reason I don't live in the country...I'd be that woman on the news living with assorted wildlife in her home.
I just love four-legged furry creatures.

He's back...hiding in the neighbor's bushes.

Hopefully mama will return for him...
