Planting, eating, and stealing...in that order.

I did a little planting at Lisa's today...

She has two beautiful brick flower beds...we decided a while ago that the pink and white theme would be pretty...

After one bed was completed she insisted I eat something...so I forced myself to consume a plate of artichoke pasta salad...

Palmer {Lisa's Carin Terrier} kept his eyes on my plate me the entire time...

I also ate a huge piece of strawberry angel food cake...there is no picture of this {much too embarrassing}.
Even Palmer turned his head away in disgust...

The flowers turned out quite nicely...
I left two pounds heavier, and I stole these...I've been stealing lilacs all over the neighborhood, and I don't care.

My own flowers are doing well...especially the Susan G Komen dahliettas!
They're growing new flowers with very little maintenance. If you haven't purchased any yet I suggest you run to Lowes...now!

My Wally-Mart flowers seem to be thriving also...

 ...especially the Endless Summer hydrangeas for $15...!!

Remember this?...

...my deer-damaged shrubs will be making an exit tomorrow!! And while I have reserved time with our wonderful landscaper, I've asked him to also demolish clean this area up a little bit...

...this is the embarrassing part of the yard that no one talks about. We look the other way when passing it...and yes,  I really did think that putting the bird house there would make a difference.
