Well, today started out quite nicely. Cooper slept soundly in my bed and we both woke up to a beautiful day...
The sun was shining, the sky was clear, and I had a taste for waffles!...I quickly toasted one (no time for real waffles)...and while attempting to slice a nice chunk of butter I instead sliced a nice chunk of my thumb.
I won't give you all the beautiful details, but I will tell you that a very nice Floridian doctor neatly stitched up my thumb and told me to stay out of the kitchen.
Painkillers are nicely erasing my physical pain, but my mental embarassment isn't going anywhere.
So here I am in paradise, with a thumb that cannot get wet....
and I now hate butter.
...and I was told that Cooper cleaned all the fallen butter off the floor... what a thoughtful pup!
Tomorrow will be better.
Yikes! I hope your thumb is better soon...what a tough way to start a day. Anyways, I'm a new BIG fan of your blog! Your photos are great and your posts are fun to read...I hope your day improves!
