It's a zoo out here in the 'burbs!!...

I have some bird feeders hanging from my poor, ailing tree. The thought of cutting the tree down breaks my heart, even though I've been told it's beyond saving.
I still find it beautiful.
The branches are weak, and I've had to move the feeders around because their weight breaks the branches. So this morning I saw this...

The seeds were all over the snow but my feathered friends didn't mind eating off the floor...

Even our regal cardinal didn't mind...

...and of course this was just too easy for a squirrel to pass up...

Our cardinal never even bothered to eat from the other feeder still hanging in the tree...he just kept on munching from the ground...

He was a little angry when I questioned his dining habits...

It's good to know some birds still prefer a dish...

and even some squirrels...

And then there are those who wait patiently for their turn...

As if all this activity wasn't enough, someone else decided to show her face...

We had a stare-down {she won}..and then she took off toward my already
deer-damaged evergreens...

She wasn't too happy that the paparazzi {me} was following her every move...and at this point my wimpy ferocious dogs began howling and scratching at the door....so she gave me a look...

...and then I interpreted this pose as a major diss'...

...and off she went to warn her friends, there's a crazy woman with a camera that has absolutely no life whatsoever...

What a great morning!!
