Time for a shower...

...in sepia.

TeacherGirl was in her glory!
Cindy and Paige (Maggie's mother-in-law to be, and sister-in-law to be) hosted a Bridal Shower for all of us on Sunday.
Becky kept me company during our very long drive!

Traveling to the north side is always a challenge to me.
I grew up believing the city stopped at 95th Street.

If you find yourself in Palatine, Illinois...stop at Gianni's
And if you venture into this little place, please let me know all about it...

The weather was a gift...eighty degrees and a sun that kept on shining.

Poor little MollDoll came home from ND with a terrible bug.
She tried her hardest to get better, but in the end we had to honor her in spirit!!

Everyone missed her...and felt sad she wasn't with us!

Yes, you can see I did enter a picture taking frenzy...thankfully my camera did it's best to keep up.
I enjoyed every minute.
(So did TeacherGirl)

My lovely daughter-in-law Margaret puts together a wine basket for the newlyweds in her family.
Every bottle has a purpose for every family event... "first baby", "first fight", etc.

Carolyn and Margaret put this together for Maggie!
Everyone loved it!!

Becky and Maggie have been friends forever...and I'm blessed to have Becky's Mom, Rita, as my very best friend...they've both been there for us in good times and awful times...like mother, like daughter.
(yes, I'm tearing up a little as I write this)

The groom dropped by!!
Bryan is the boy every mother wants their daughter to marry.
Thankfully my daughter realized that the moment she met him, or perhaps after a few dates.
No matter when she decided, we're thankful she did.

And it's good to know he loves babies...

  1. Awww... what a lovely family. Lucky boy to be marrying your sweet and beautiful daughter, lucky girl to be marrying the boy every parent wishes their daughter would find. The "First" wine assortment was a fun idea for a bridal shower. I may have to steal that idea.
