I know the weather may not be the best.
And there aren't any palm trees swaying in the ocean breeze...
I do miss the flowers and the birds...
But we do have a few tough feathered friends who brave the winds...
And it's always good to be home.
I'm planning a Thanksgiving Brunch for my family. It's gets a little harder as the children insist on growing up.
There's quite a bit of extended family to visit and I'm trying to be fair.

I'm blessed to see my children move on and choose their partners.
They've all chosen wisely.
And since I'm serving brunch, BigDaddy and I can sit around in our elastic waist banded pants
and watch football for the remainder of the day.

Lovely bird life at your table Mary Elizabeth. And how nice to watch them and photograph them without getting cold.
ReplyDeleteYour Thanksgiving brunch sounds like the perfect solution! And it doesn't really matter what time of day you eat, as long as you can be together!
ReplyDeleteI love the reference to elastic waist pants.. My hubby and I call those our "fat pants" and we joke that we have to put them on when we return home from a restaurant. :-)
