A Trip to Old Tyme Pottery...and Martinis...

Time flies when you're fixing house...and drinking martinis...

Unfortunately alcohol tends to make me sleepy and not very productive. Nancy has been a great help decorating the new house...
She used to paint murals and  furniture...and was very "artsy-fartsy"...She did a great job with my new cabinet...

...and my foyer...

We took an afternoon trip to Old Tyme Pottery...

It's a happy place...

And we were quite excited when I thought I found cushions for my patio furniture...

...unfortunately the cushions weren't the right size, so we'll be returning them tomorrow.
Now let's get back to those martinis...
Nancy and I decided to rent "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee"...not the best movie, but the martinis are dulling the pain. And the frozen pizza doesn't taste too bad either...

I have learned a very important lesson today...when you ask a friend to help you find your glasses...

...make sure you check the top of your head first...and make sure she's not carrying a camera.

  2. These pictures make me happy. Rows and rows of colorful things so neatly organized. It calms something inside me. Thanks for posting your decorating day and letting me sip your martini.

  3. I do love Old Thyme Pottery--but I have to drive a couple of hours to Memphis to go there. Have been to one in Birmingham, AL too--love the bargains! Watermmelon martinis do sound good--I like Pom martinis!
