Rain, A New Addition, and Chemo...

So...
We need three days without rain in order to repair the cement cracks around the pool. Having three straight days without rain hasn't happened, and I'm not sure if it will happen. Pool season is very short here in Chicago, and finding that window for repairs isn't guaranteed...

I'm guessing a little improvisation might be necessary this season...

I'm taking Lisa for her chemo treatment this morning. If you're reading this {and you are!} please say a little prayer for her today. It's often said that the treatment is worse than the disease, and I've found that to be true.

On a much happier note, she's welcoming a new addition to her family today!
This addition has four legs and a wet nose...by the time we return home this afternoon her new Golden Retriever puppy will be waiting for her.
Her beloved Duncan passed away last year and her little terrier Palmer seems a bit lost and in need of a friend.
Her new pup is coming from California...why am I picturing this??...

Please send a blessing her way, and new puppy pics will be posted asap!!
