I'd really like a Milky Way...

Well, it's been one full week of healthy eating, and I've read that if you can stick to something for three weeks, it will become a habit. I think Dr. Oz said that... but I'm not too sure. I'm not that crazy about him anymore, I really can't say why...he just annoys me lately...sorry if I'm offending anyone.

I'm not sure that the three week rule applies to me. I can think of plenty of things I did for three weeks that I didn't follow through on...avoiding carbs {after three weeks I ate four Twinkees}...

...Running {after three weeks I slipped on a patch of ice and laid on the sidewalk for what seemed like three weeks}, and I managed to avoid sugar for three weeks {only to eat two large, solid chocolate bunnies, and a bag of foil wrapped chocolate eggs}. I love sugar. I once confided in my Molly-Girl that I'd like to see if I could eat an entire chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. {She refused to make eye contact with me for two weeks...it was very uncomfortable}.

I also tried knitting for three weeks, and I have absolutely nothing to show for that, other than a messier closet...

So three weeks doesn't guarantee much for me. {And considering I haven't even reached the three week mark, I should keep quiet}. I am spending time outdoors though, and a sunny day in Chicago is good for the soul.

I'll leave you with a little bit of Spring courtesy of my backyard...

...isn't that first pic of Cooper cute?...NO, it isn't...I discovered he was rolling in deer poop...

Blow drying not necessary...Thank you sun!

"Did you ever notice when you blow in a dog's face he gets mad at you?  But when you take him in a car he sticks his head out the window."

  1. I don't know why it's soooo hard to eat good, but it is!
    Boo.
    Dr. Oz annoys me, too.
I mean, what kind of Dr. has the last name Oz anyway?
Cute pics of Cooper! Deer poop is what rough and tough pups roll in, didn'tcha know?

  3. That picture of your yard is absolutely beautiful! I have a hard time "creating a habit" too, especially when it comes to sweets.
