A Day at the Beach...

"It is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea---whether it is to sail or to watch it---we are going back from whence we came."

 - John F. Kennedy

I can't remember being alone on a beach...ever. But today was a first. I started my day with a visit to  Blind Pass, on Captiva Island ...it was beautiful..

Cooper wasn't too happy with the incoming tide ...he's quick though!

I discovered a little grafitti under the bridge...

This beach has a very strong current and swimming isn't recommended. The fishing is great here and on a warm day these rocks are usually supporting quite a few fishermen...today was not one of those days.

Eventually a few brave souls ventured out in the cold...

"For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)

it's always ourselves we find in the sea."
