My Florida Cocktails

I'm not sure why, but the following three drinks always seem to be a favorite for us while we're in Florida...but I've found you can drink them anywhere you'd like!

Easy Strawberry Daiquiri (Real Simple Magazine)

In a blender, working in batches, puree 1 pint of strawberry sorbet, 1 and 1/4c of light rum, and 6c of ice until smooth. Transfer to a large pitcher and stir to combine. You can add water if it's too thick. Serve quickly...yum!

Pineapple Rum Cocktails

In a large pitcher stir together 1 -46oz can of pineapple juice, 2c of spiced rum, and 1/2c fresh lime juice (6-8 limes). refrigerate until chilled and serve over ice with lime slices for garnish. Serves 8 (this most certainly varies depending on your mood).

A Classic Margarita

Ingredients: 3/4 c tequilla, 1/2 c fresh lime juice, 1/2 c triple sec, 1 lime sliced, coarse salt
Combine tequilla, lime juice, triple sec, and 1/2c of water.
Rub rim of glasses with with a lime slice, dip rim in salt.
Serve the margaritas in the prepared glasses over lots of ice and garnish with lime slices.
